Description

Welcome to the Black Belt Level II, an Advanced Level Certification in Lean Six Sigma. Before proceeding, please note that holding a Standard Black Belt Certification is a prerequisite for applying for this Certification. To qualify for the Six Sigma Black Belt II Certification, the following requirements must be met:
  1. Possession of a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification issued by Lean Six Sigma Bureau.
  2. Payment of the required assessment fee.
  3. Submission of a DMAIC or DMADV project that showcases your profound understanding of the Six Sigma methodology and your adeptness in planning and executing the necessary steps.
Previously, projects were mandated to be completed in a “live” business environment. However, we acknowledge that employers might not always provide the necessary resources or permit sharing of financial data with an external organization for review. Therefore, we now accept two types of project submissions: “live” sponsored projects and “hypothetical” projects, both of which are considered to demonstrate your proficiency. In the case of a “hypothetical” project, candidates will be primarily evaluated based on the steps taken, rather than the actual “data” submitted. The primary objective is to gauge a candidate’s ability to navigate a Six Sigma Project from inception to completion effectively. Please email your project to info@leansixsigmabureau.com. You can expect to receive a confirmation email within 1-3 business days. The review process typically takes 7-14 business days. The MBB (Master Black Belt) responsible for reviewing the project will assess whether certain “criteria” necessary for demonstrating an understanding of project implementation have been met. They will look for aspects such as comparing possible projects during pre-planning, project charters, proficient use of analysis tools, and adequate control plans. In the event that a project does not meet our standards, candidates will be given up to 3 opportunities to modify and resubmit their project. Feedback will be provided on the specific areas requiring improvement before resubmission. If, after 3 attempts, a candidate is still unsuccessful, a project review fee would need to be paid again for further attempts. Upon successful completion of the certification requirements, an electronic version of the certification will be made available for download. We wish you the best of luck in your Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Level II journey! Should you have any queries or require further assistance, feel free to reach out to us.
